Default Coilovers or Shock and Spring Setup

Hi Guys

I've been contemplating suspension options for quite some time now and have gotten nowhere. I've thrashed heaps of threads for info but I'm still at square one.

Currently own an AP2. I want to lower it for aesthetics ( will get wheels at the end of the year) and would like to keep it as close to stock feel as possible as I DD it.

I have come down to two options.

1. Bilstein PSS9 for around $1800 new
2. Koni Yellows with Spec R springs for $1264

The less I spend the better (obviously). I don't plan to track the car. For my purpose what would you suggest?

Spend the extra on PSS9's or just go for the shock/spring set up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure if the oem shocks can cope with lowered springs over a period of time.
Coilovers are a good option as u can customise it to your required height.
Maybe look out for a set of used kw v3. I see lightly used ones go on sale regularly on the main (US) sale section.

I ran with stock shocks and H&R mildly lowered springs for years until I got the KWs. You can do it but nothing like real coil overs.

Koni yellows with stock springs might also give you the look you are after.

Never thought of that. Just had a search. This may be the cheapest and best option for me thanks for the suggestion man!

If you are not going to track it why PSS9? i would just stick to PSS(height adjustable but wouldn't have damping adjustability) and save the cost. I think you can get PSS from US at a similar price to koni yellow and swift spring setup. Plus you have bilstein australia (Sydney Base tho) who can rebuild/revalve the shock if required. not sure if koni can be revalved.

Started considering this option this morning. Awaiting on a price from a seller for the PSS. I will most likely go down this path.

I wouldn't mind koni shocks on stock springs but I'll probably regret not buying coilovers later on.
