damn, battery died after 1 year and 2 days
well out of the blue, my battery just died. i phoned honda and they were willing to backdate it to get it covered but they needed to order one in, i needed the car immediately so i went and paid $98 for a heavy duty battery from nrma, 2 years warranty. i am sure that the carcom satellite tracking may have drained the battery prematurely.
maybe i should get honda to refund me for the new battery.

so what do i do? i mean if u leave ur lights on or u drain ur battery playing music while washing and waxing ur car then how do u prove that the battery is faulty. i dont like the chances of honda paying for the battery though!

Did you keep the old battery? Hornsby Honda somehow tested my one, and found "2 cells were dead" (to quote the service manager). Replaced within 1hr...no fuss. So maybe if you still have the old battery.... I don't know. They might not want to cover the "retail" cost of the battery.
why the 1month wait on the battery? Are they actually going to give you one of those Japanese batteries (ie. the exact one that came with the car)? The guy at Hornsby said that they don't get these in because by the time they'd get here they'd be $300 + which is about the same as a dry cell battery.

it was a few days wait, which i didnt understand cause they could have just phoned a battery place and had one there in an hour. i guess they wanted a honda battery with the same serial number, i think i will go to honda and say, here is the receipt, u said it was covered under warranty so i want a cheque or credit on my next service, cant hurt to ask
