I would've thought a caliper mounting point would be the last thing you'd want to mill into. Might be a good idea to get an engineer to check it out? Don't want it to fail from metal fatigue especially on such a crucial component?

It's a complete replacement of the steering knuckle to allow mounting the Brembos.

Did the milling break through to the other side? Looks like a void at the back corner of the milled section.

If I was milling those I would have put more of a radius at the corner of the milled section.

Looks like they machine the original brake caliper mounting lugs off the upright and machine/drill holes for a new supplemental bracket.

The question on everyones lips is, is this safe?

I'd love to hear some informed opinions on this.

Im just wondering as to why you didn't leave the caliper alone and just find a rotor with a shorter top hat.

S2000 top hats are 40mm so could of looked for another rotor from another car or make a custom 2 piece rotor that carriers the same specs.
300mm x25mm with a top hat of 32.5mm thus not needing a spacer behind rotor OR having to cut into the caliper?

none the less it will look awesome mate!
there are 2 ways to put the dc5 brembo on s2000 beside milling the calipers
1, use s2000 rotors but need a 7.5mm spacer behind the rotors, since the rotor wont be in the center of the caliper, need the spacer to push the rotor outward.
2, use dc5 rotors but have to machine center bore to fit.

To be honest, it is very hard to find the rotor with the correct hats, size, and center bore for what I want, at least no one on s2ki has a replacement rotor to fit the Brembo, maybe this kind of rotor does not even exist.
I know a few people in the state they did that way for the conversion. the major reason I milled the calipers is, it's really easy to find replacement rotor and brake pads. And I still have enough space to put spacers for my wheels to clear the calipers.

When you say DC5 do you meen the AUDM or JDM?
Audm - 300mmx25mm with 47.5mm height
Jdm - 300x25mm with 57.8 height.

S2000 - 300x25mm with 40mm height.

I always thought if you were just to get a rotor with a 32.5mm height you would be fine or do I have it the wrong way around and its ment to be 47.5mm thus usin the AUDM rotor with machined out centre bore ??

If you use the AUDM rotor then you would need extended wheel studs correct? But if you went backwards down to a 32.5mm height rotor it would also bring the rotor in line with caliper and not needing extended wheel studs.....so I'm thinking anyway could be wrong.
