Finally
Hi all,
I have been meaning to get on here and share some news. Some of the old timers may know that I joined this forum well before I was of legal age. I was a teenager someday hoping to get an S2000, and a Learners Permit.
I spent years on these boards consuming as much information as I could. As soon as I finished high school, I ended up with a job at the local Honda dealership.
But that still didn't mean an S2000.
I bought a little Honda Civic that was in more accidents than I care to admit. After 11 years of ownership, enduring a few years at University, and finally having a secure job, it was time to upgrade the Civic.
But that still didn't mean an S2000.
Fate had it that I bought a Kia pro_cee'd GT. Never in my lifetime would I ever think that I'd own something that wasn't a Honda. My peers, including my own family shamed me. They didn't understand why I couldn't just get another Honda -- (I wasn't too crash hot on the idea of a new Civic with only CVT and the S2000 market was pretty minimal at the time... for what I wanted anyway)
My career went onto a few roles within automotive and transport. I was driving new cars every day, but the itch never left. I wasn't fulfilled. I needed an S2000.
Well, 17 years later and I finally have an S2000. This has been the light at the end of the tunnel that is 2020.
Just like the posts I made many years ago on here, I got a gorgeous S2000. 2006 Grand Prix White. It's in good condition considering its age, but it does need a lot of love to get it back to showroom condition.
Some background checks, and it appears to have been a Victorian car all along. It even made a pitstop for a service at the Honda dealership that I was working at, at the time.
Good ol' Photobucket no longer exists, but for those who have me on social media, you'll see the photos pop up on the S2000 groups soon enough.
I just wanted to thank you all for your wealth of knowledge and passion that was passed onto me. Thanks for taking me in as a kid, because if it wasn't for this place, I probably wouldn't have the career or car I have today.
