Bash out the cat lol. It's not a VL commodore mate. Do it proper. You know hondata will run you around 3000 big ones once installed and tuned too right?

Thanks guys, Im not a fan of single exhaust but an exhaust place told me go 2 1/4 hope thats good enough for performance.
are there many quick N/a hondas around in sydney? I know turbo is the way to go but the reason im not interested is because
im worried the motor might die eventaully killing its life span and it will be hard to sell in the future and especially
good luck getting a trade inn.

Cheers
Russ

Stroke it to 2.2 or 2.4 litres. No substitute for capacity. With the cams you will easily make your +30hp.

Disconnect a couple of coil leads and you'll make 30hp.

can you buy mugen exhaust in sydney and hondata?
If i bash out the cat inside why should i spend money on j's racing testpipe?
there are a few stores in sydney that can get you hondata and mugen exhaust if you wanted them but expect to pay big coin for them brand new.

If you can I suggest you get the j's fx70rs dual ti exhaust

I went 60mm the first time since I was advise that 70mm was too big for my motor and well i did wish i went 70mm in the first place!
u want gains.. 70mm is the way to go as the others have said

I don't want to be the first one on the thread to come across as cynical... but it sounds to me like some of the most valuable advice right now could be that that dropping clutch at the lights is to be done at your own (diff's) peril..

The above advice is top notch and I think a search would find you hundreds of recent threads on s2ki with similar advice, just note that power is only part of what makes these cars as quick as they are... which is why the advice regarding suspension, final drive and tyres is a lot more valuable than your response would imply.

Best of luck I/H/E/Cat/Cam changes either way.

As someone who has been there/done that, best be ready for that feeling of disappointment. This car is very highly tuned from the factory, so expecting significant gains from bolts-ons is a bit unrealistic (regardless of what the manufacturuer says). Evens cams show little to no gains. Why? Because our car comes with lumpy high end cams from the outset, it's just that with VTEC they don't kick in till the high end anyway, so you don't sacrifice low end driveability.
