Default HSCC-VIC Winton 'Track Day'.... Sunday November 9th!!

Winton on November 9th 2003.

The event will be a non competitive track day with no 'official' timing allowed. Cars will also be allowed to carry passengers, at times, as detailed in the Sup Regs/Drivers briefing. The event will be run under a CAMS permit (No.303/0911/07). The first 30 entries recieved will be entitiled to a free lunch voucher redeemable at the Winton kiosk.

The Sup Regs/Entry Form and Drivers briefing can be downloaded from www.hsccv.org.au in the 'what's on' section.

You need to be a member of the HSCCV to come guys, (Or an invited club such as the WRX CCV, Ferrari CC Inc, MX5 CCV or Honda CCV) so if your not please forward your membership to Andrew ASAP @

HSCCV (Honda Sports Car Club Victoria)
Membership
PO Box 325
Richmond 3121

You can find a membership application form at the website under membership
Obviously we would prefer you to be a member of the HSCCV.

The entry fee reflects the amount of people we will be expecting at the track. I know it's a little 'up there' but you will get plenty of track time, much more than at a standard sprint! Although the Sup Regs allow for 60 cars I would say 40 cars would be a more accurate number of expected entrants. That means heaps of track time if your up for it!!!

If you have any questions please contact Andrew on - 0423 088 133 - or just post them here.

Cheers,
-Mark-

Originally posted by slick To what extent, if any, is the HSCCV subsidising the event out of club funds??
It would be unfair on the existing financial members to use club funds to subsidise the track day. This would mean that all the lapsed members would be getting a free ride at the expense of those who did the right thing and paid their renewal.

If the lapsed members were forced to pay the full years membership fee before being allowed to enter then it would be OK to use club funds to subsidise the meet.

I note that the supp regs allow for a one-day membership for $5. I hope that this is intended for newcomers rather than previous members who just haven't paid their full years fee. Perhaps it would be fairer if the $5 day fee applied only to non-Honda entrants (or people who have not previously been members) and that financially lapsed members be required to renew.

The club will NOT be doing any up-front 'subsidising'! However, should there be a lesser number of cars (than what we require to break even, for the event).... then obviously we would be running at a 'loss' and in effect 'subsidising' the day.

Cheers,

*** ALERT ALERT ALERT ***

Not long now boys and girls.... get your entry forms in (if you haven't already) and ensure that your car is in tip-top shape!!
Fingers crossed, that we get good weather for the day.... see you there!

If any NSW people want to attend the day.... you'd be most welcome; as I attended the HSCC-VIC Winton track day, back in 2001 (when I was living in Canberra)!! I consider Winton, to be a far more superior and fun track compared to Wakefield. But I would strongly advise driving down on Saturday to Benalla and staying over night.... otherwise it would be an extremely loooooooooooong day in the car (given Winton is ~5hr drive from Sydney)!!
