Default I need new rear tyres!

On the hunt for new rear tyres for my AP1 again and having trouble deciding what I want. Essentially, what I want, is a tyre that looks and performs as well or better than the original Bridgestone OEM SO2's (which had a nice flat blocky stance).

I'm currently looking at ....

Bridgestone Adrenalin Potenza RE001 225/50/16 92W

Michelin Pilot Preceda PP2 225/50/16 92W

... as I don't seem to be able to find a 245/45/16 anywhere.

So far the Bridgestone Adrenalin is looking good (though expensive).

I lean more toward grip than wear.

If you've had experience with either of these tyres please do post it here.

Cheers.

RE001 are very good tyre, more progressive than the s02's but do not offer I feelt he same grip levels, nor do they look anywhere near as aggressive as the S02. I have adrenalins on the type r and s2000. They hold up really well on the track too.

The 225 on the S2000 with adrenalin looks weak!

Running kumho ecsta ku36 rears atm; picked them up from option1 garage in brissy when they had a promo for about $155-60 a corner. 225/50/16. They're soft, grippy, great value for money. Not as hardcore as my dunlop direzza starspecs... i'd probably rate them in the same class but on the lower spectrum. I think it will crap all over the RE001 Adrenalins. Just take a look at their tread pattern. Ill def buy the kumho again...

I got Falken 452's http://www.falken.com.au/tyres/passenger-FK452.html, I cant say much as its the only tire ive tried on my wheels, Ive only heard they are a good tire around $300 a piece, till I try something else after these which will be RE001, cant really comment, they grip and it didn't wear much after a track day as much as I would of thought... But after reading around its a better street tire then a track tire as its got great grip in the wet and predictability.

Just get these http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/...ort/RE55s.aspx

They don't do a 16" 245 in the KU36 range.

That's precisely what I don't want. Thanks for the info.
