It's the end of an era :)

Yep, I bought a new car. And no it's not a Porsche, and it's not an S2000, or even a Honda altogether. In fact, it's not even a sports-car. It's a Jeep Cherokee Limited, in black, brand spanking new.

The ITR is going on the market this weekend, and I will offload it before the end of the month to make way for the Jeep in the garage.

Anyway, not really on-topic, but I thought I'd share this news with ya all.

It's the end of an era :)
And the beginning of another error. :p

My god Iggy! What are you thinking? How will you survive with out a track day fix?

I mean, I've seen you drive, and you do spend a lot of time 'off road' but this is ridiculous.

The only way you could possibly redeem yourself would be to purchase a trailer and a Formula Ford.

Nice move Iggy.

I too will be offloading my beloved honda  ASAP.

I agree Aus, I can feel a formula ford coming on for Iggy.

Interesting and unusual choice Iggy.

Does that mean that you will be doing some 4WD to see how it goes (similar to driving a sporty car on a racetrack)?

Very interesting move Iggy, especially after all your recent discussion on Porsches, S2000s etc. I imagine it will be a lot more of a comfortable and practical cruiser than either the ITR or above options.

Enjoy!

Iggy the soccer mum!

j/k:LOL:I really like the exterior on those in fact there is a beautiful black one down here with 20" prodrive lookalike rims that looks really smooth.

Before I picked up my S I looked at a couple of older models and was really disappointed with the interior and passenger space though.

AusS2000 Oct 14, 2003 04:14 AM

I think we should start a list of all the cars Iggy was 'gunna' get.

I remember:
BMW Z4
Porsche Boxster
Audi TT
S2000 w/SC
EVO 1 through 8

Any others?

wow iggy, u got a jeep, good luck, tats all i gotta say.
i had a 99 jeep grand cherokee ltd, i got it coz of the ads tat were on during tat time (remember the superman ad where clark kent drives it thru the ice into his Fortress of Solitude, and there was the S on the wall which symbolised tat even Superman drives a Jeep GC LTD). well i was sold. SUCKER BORN EVERYDAY.
the problem with mine was tat it was a V8, drank TOO much fuel, i was spending around $120-150 a WEEK!!! on petrol and i don't even drive tat much or tat hard (well not in tat thing) compared to my $50-60 a week in the RS4 (which i hammer hard and fast).
it was just the little things tat kept on popping up and KEPT on popping up. had to have my drive shaft replaced 3 times (like a $2000+ warranty issue every time).
IMO Jeeps r wat they r, American pieces of crap, i'll never buy one again. everybody tat i've spoken to who has owned one will never purchase another.
at the time it was the best car to be purchased as the X5 wasn't out yet, so IGGY good luck i hope u got a good one, coz Jeep make a lot of ordinary ones.
will

Austblue Oct 14, 2003 04:57 AM

Are they really comparable to the X5? I would have thought that that would be like comparing the SS commodore with an M5?

BTW a local dealer just got 2 Vipers in and the coupe was $267K! Way too expensive for what they are imo.

Those 335 rear tyres look so badass but:eek2:

Oh and Iggy.....You were considering a tittie:egads: Say it isn't so!:dontdoit:
