LOL, no it's a print out of the screen at the advertised dimensions.

And yes, it is a touch screen.

I'm buying off their ebay site which ships from Hong Kong. The freight was $USD34 + $6 for insurance.

I'm getting a reversing camera too.

You have your roof down 99% of the time don't you Aus? What can't you see when you look over your shoulder?? Oh, I forgot, you are a short @rse!!

Seriously, they are pretty cool. How will you switch it though? The screen will give you an input but does it have a signal input for when reverse is selected so that it switches to the camera input? Otherwise it will be a manual selection.

Hey I ain't that short! In fact I've been described as the tallest man with a short man's complex.

I'm not 100% on the switching yet. It depends on whether the unit has this functionality built in or not. As for reversed images, some screens do it and some cameras come in reversed mode.

But at the end of the day it's really not necessary (as you've pointed out) but a nice addition at very little extra cost. And the more time I spend in the garage the less bar fights I get into.

A lot of the cameras on eBay are already reversed images, mine was less than $50 including shipping from Hong Kong and although not stated in the auction it is actually a reversed image. If the unit does not have a reverse select signal in then you would have to manually select to view the feed, not sure how much use that would be.

But at the end of the day it's really not necessary (as you've pointed out) but a nice addition at very little extra cost. And the more time I spend in the garage the less bar fights I get into.
That is a very fair point.
