DavidM, thanks for doing that for us. I hope everyone finds it of interest.
Perhaps I might start the closing off for this thread by recalling why I got the S2000 in the first place. In the winter of 1999 (July August) I was looking at the Mercedes SLK230 and the Porsche Boxter 2.5 but I just couldn't justify spending over $100K. When the S2000 came out in September/October it seemed like a bargain compared to those two.
The Subaru STi at that time wasn't as good as the new STis that came out later. In 1999 the two Nissans and the two Mazdas didn't exist.
Anyway, even 4 years later the S2000 still ranks highly in the BFYB stakes.
