Default The New Mazda 3 MPS

What are your thoughts on the new Mazda 3??

Reckon the S would get a whooping in a straight line against this car??

Not sure it would find traction.

That said, is it the one with the power limit in the first two gears but full boost kicks in in third and spears you off the corner.

Its scary to think that i'd get my @ss handed to me by a Mazda 3 in a straight line.
Anyone wanna contribute to a foundation to turbocharge my S

looks interesting, my friend got an on-road price of about 43k and 47k or so... for each model...i think it might be worth a test drive to see how well they are able to control the torque steer, i shall be registering my interest shortyl

Looks interesting but I can't get past the front wheel drive. At $40-odd K for a practical car I'd be thinking WRX.

A friend of mine test drove one during a recent dealer service (he owns an SP23). He says it's scary fast but you get wheelspin even in 2nd and 3rd gear upchanges. Torque steers like a monkey on your steering shaft. Inside is pretty much the same as te SP23 but with bucket seats. Steering feel is lighter than Playstation though. Doesn't sound like the Mazda I thought it'd be. Even though with that much power, I would have thought the Mazda engineers would have been able to control it into something useable and fun to drive.
