Does the RTA require you to pay a yearly licence fee for a custom plate even if it's not used/registered on a vehicle? And if you don't pay for it, does it mean the plate is up for grabs again?

if the plates are not on a car , you must put them in storage at the RTA , for a small fee of course ! as the plates always remain the property of the RTA .
i think after a certain amount of time , they become available again .

you could buy an early model 308 for about $75k !
