Default P-plater insurance cost?

Hey there,

I'm 21, on green p's and getting my full licence next april.

Just wondering about insurance before I leap with a purchase of a S2000.

How much are you guys paying for insurance? and if you would be so kind to tell me what company you are with, that would be great!

Thanks heaps

Current insurance.
AAMI, $900 for roughly $18,300 Cover + Windscreen Cover w/ $750 Excess. (Assuming i have no accident's because im not a listed driver).

Option i didn't go.
19/M/No accidents averaged around $1.8k+ For a measly $16,xxx Cover.

Wow thanks for the quick reply!

Damn what a difference!

So your banking on not having an accident? And you would have put it under your parents?

Are you covered if its third party?

Thanks again!

I'm currently with NRMA, 20/M/ also green P plates.

Paying $1200 yearly for comp including theft, $800 excess and insured for 17k, under my parents name.

The main reason for this is due to the area I live in I'm more worried about theft than an accident, although with NRMA if an unlisted driver under 25 years gets into an accident it is an additional $1,600.

24/F here and quoted at around $1200 for AP1 market value. RACV silver member too (5+ years, no claims).
