Ive noticed this but it isn't the problem. I was lucky enough to have the problem occur for me in front of my local service rep while we were both standing next to the door.
BTW were you being sarcastic when you asked that Stanley? It just seems a strange question.

Just rang a Honda dealer in the Sydney area and they want around $650 for a new 6 stacker unit... I'm out of warranty...
My Onkyo multidisc homeplayer is guaranteed for 5 years and gets 10 times the pounding and hasn't missed a beat compared to the player in a $70k car....
Wonder if i can get it repaired somewhere?..

I would be very surprised if it wasn't the cable (one end or the other).
That said, I'd upgrade the system. Either the Changer (Alpine with adaptor) or the lot. If you install the replacement in the secret scompartment you'll even gain valuable boot space.

Build date is June '99.....Gave HA a call today and they have never heard of this prob with one channel dropping out on CD playing or really any faulty 6 stackers.....
Thanks for all the help guys, can't justify paying $600 for a new stacker...or $xxxx for the Alpine....might have a go at getting it fixed, if the stacker is the prob, that is.....or just listen to the dual exhausts....at least they have a note coming out each side...

Sure was Stanley - my right leg blocks the sound from the speaker when I have my foot on the accelerator- if I angle my knee over to the left a little the volume increases considerably.

As for HA never hearing of it......
Like I said I went to HA myself and they acknowledged that it was a problem but as I said they took the usual approach.
