Default S2000 Scan Tool

Hi guys anyone have or know of a good scan tool for the S2000. I want to use it to detect fault codes?

I was looking at this - cheap but not sure how good it will be:

eBay link

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What year is your S?

MY2000s (the majority of Ss sold in Aus) don't have an OBDII port.

Oh really? Mine is a 1999. I just assumed it would have one. Damn. So there's no way then besides the Hds?

So yours is an MY2000. And no, it doesn't have an OBDII port.

Also just in case you end up thinking about it, the Honda 3Pin to OBDII converter + OBDII scanner doesn't work either.

counting the cel flashes worked when my iacv was playing up, as far as i know it should give you pretty much any code the car has.

Counting the CEL flashes works just great until the Honda dealership trying to investigate what turns out to be a bad ignition coil misdiagnoses the random misfire code as a power steering failure, resulting in confused everybody.

Sad, true story.

Just more evidence that the Dealerships are manned by trained (but not week trained) monkeys.
