S2K Oil Eating...
My S2K seems to suddenly be very oil hungry. I've gone through 5L since the 13th of October , where as previous to this it really didn't use much at all. I broke the engine in very carefully, and I now VTEC about once / twice a day, and I know that this eats some oil... but is this oil usage excessive???

How many ks have you done?
Seems like many honda service centers are aware of such problem. I've rung up a few different service centers for various things and they all asked me the same question, ' is you car using up heaps of oil?' This ranged from the parts department sales person to the telephone receptionist!
Ring up your honda service center and let them know. They may say it's normal and just keep checking the oil regularly and topping it up until it stops. If things turn out to be pathological, then at least you've informed them of what's happening.

How many K's are we talking about since October?
I would suggest you look for a leak and if none are found have Honda look at it. Check that the plugs are tight and whether any smoke is visible from the exhaust.
Actually, 5L since October! Head straight to dealer!

spakko, have a look at the spot where you park it. Is there a puddle of oil on the ground?
If so, you've got a leak. Something needs to be tightened.
If not, you've got a problem.
In either event, head straight for your dealer.

Well I VTECed all the time (ie. very frequently) and had no problems with 'oil consumption' I had the car serviced every 5k km but the oil was always pretty high in my car (even when running in).
Take it to the dealer as it does not sound right (in particular that this was not the case before).

Mine used oil but not what I would call a problem. The car is known to consume some oil but not to the extent that you have experienced of course. Some people are luck like David but I'm not convinced that poor break in is fully responsible, perhaps just a possible reason.
