i dont think ITR is that much slower then the s2k.
ozhonda morons claim their cars are faster than wrx's stock for stock down the 1/4.

If we're talking about both cars launced well, then the IT-R does not stand a chance from a standing start. There'll be good 10 car-lenghts difference in the WRX's favour. Stock WRXs can run (very) low 14s. IT-R will be lucky to brake into 14s.

On the other hand from a roll IT-R does have a good chance, and in particular over 140kph the IT-R should be quicker.
G'day all, I haven't logged in for a few months. Anyway agreed with DavidM here as usual. I used to own a DC2 ITR, and I ran an MY00 WRX from a roll (it was a mate of mines), it was dead even until 130-140km/h whereupon I started to edge slightly in front, but we had to stop due to traffic lights. From a standing start, no chance at all for the ITR...the Rex was around 5 carlengths in front before I stopped it from pulling, but I wasn't reeling it in either.

As for the S2K Vs ITR debate, I don't understand whats so hard to understand. Only biased fanboys can't see the truth there.

My B18C had I/H/E, hi flow cat, throttle body, dyno tuned VAFC, lightened flywheel, clutch etc and found VTEC alot more aggresive soundwise and "grunt".

There used to be a N/Atuned DC2 IT-R around that was incredibly fast. Not only in a straighline, but also around a track. From what I remember he managed 13.9sec pass over 400m (with R-spec tyres), 1:42s around Winton, and 1:56s around POhillip Island.

It was quicker than any S2000 that we've had here so far, but it was far from stock.
I think that car was featured in Motor's "Ninja Hurtles" issue some years back right? It was owned by Jacob or a Dean Ong or something. A mate of mine with a modified Euro knew the owner before he went back to Indonesia. Motor got it to run a 13.9 over the 400m, but alledgedly the owner managed a 13.65 second 400m time. (can't confirm, its just what I heard)

driven both.

for street id prefer s2000 over the itr anyday, just brings a smile to your face when driving it.

ITRs are quite fast against an s2000 though. guess it comes down to the driver.

ps: ozhonda realli isnt that bad once u overlook the countless amount of spam and 12yos lol
