Didn't get to Mad's today to do my soft top replacement. Had to do some chores at home while it's not raining. So, chores done I started removing my old soft top.

It's a really involved job. You have to pull out most of the interior panels up to the dash and even remove the seats. But got it out and off the frame fairly quickly.

I put the seat belts and seat back in so I can drive it.

And here's what is going in.

It's an OEM glass rear window roof.

Wow. Are those matic and spade, special tools?
And whats with the dirt all over the new top? Was it buried for safe keeping?

The mattock and spade are left out from the household chores. Not required for soft top removal.

The new soft top has been in the roof of my garage for about 10 years (I think). That stuff blows in under the garage roof and settles.

Wow. 10 years. Thats planing ahead! Often I buy stuff for a rainy day, but then I forget about it and end up buying another one!

Hmm, well I have scottish heritage so my scroogey-ness over-rides my alzheimers.

I bought it years ago. But because the changeover is such a big job and I hardly ever put my roof up it took me a long time to get around to it.

That had to be the 22nd roof conversion I have completed, and I'm definetly hating them now.

I can't finish mine until I find my freakin rivet gun.

I know a sure way to find it though. Buy a new one and it will instantly turn up.
