Here's a Berk HFC. 90% of the gain (1.8hp instead of 2) and no rotten egg smell or acid rain.

I said 'attention'. Once you've got their attention don't you think they'd notice the rotten egg smell? I suppose you could tell them you ate a bad curried egg sandwich.

Yeah that seems ok but I think I'll go for a 60mm is the smell really that bad like does it make u choke in the cabin and need to constantly have a window open?

Well the smell is on the outside, and the car is a convertible so I'm not sure what opening a window will do.

In that case putting the window down will definitely help you smell it.

I think you struggle to understand what I mean, will the smell make it way into the cabin with roof on and windows up? Thus to reduce the smell u need to open a window

Dunno. I didn't buy a convertible to drive around with the roof and windows up and can't afford a $10,000 fine so haven't removed my cat.

Why do some test pipes mention a CEL fix? It seems more practical to buy myself a HFC as riviera suggested. Evasive have one and the description says

High flow metallic substrate catalytic converters, OBDII & 49 state compliant. Full stainless steel construction. Our test data shows that this cat flows 87% as well as a test pipe vs. 43% for the OEM Cat. Smog legal, high flow, no test pipe smell. You can have it all....

But it's a 63.5mm is that right? Price? $225 + shipping

You will need a CEL(Check engine light)fix to stop the sensor attached to the cat from tripping the check engine light. I think it's to do with heat, That the sensor now being closer to it.
A celfix should knock you back about $50 - $100 Which is kinda steep when it's just little bit of pipe with a thread at each end.

If you know a fitter they may be able knock one up, All you need is 2 pieces of steel pipe(stainless or something that won't rust)about 15-20mm diameter. one about 100mm And the other about 30-40mm, cut them at 45 degrees and weld them together at a 90 degree angle. tap the long end to fit the sensor, and button the short to fit on the test pipe.
If you understood any of that then you will know more accurate measuring will be required but you get the jist.

And just for the record I have a 70mm skunk2 t/p($75us) Attached to 5zigen headers($600us) and a skunk2 70mm into 60mm spit cat-back($750us)(postage was about $800us). loud as hell, but the trick is not to have the car under too much load as you coast past the 5-0. and I kinda like the smell.
