Sounds good ncmx5, a well worth $150, I'll be doing this sometime soon. How much louder is the 38mm link over stock, and do you still use the PRM intake?

Not sure what size piping to use.. and I have the PRM which is shit loud as it is.. but I want a noticeable exhaust note

Wish I had seen this before I changed to the T1r70. Sent my stock exhaust to the scrap heap too...

Not sure what piping to use... 32, 38, 44 etc.

I wonder how much this affects volume etc.

lol it kind of sounds like an angry chewbacca sound to me... seems to "gargle" too much for my liking.

Larger size has a definite effect on volume, it's the path of least resistance principle. ncmx5's volume increases a lot earlier than mine, it seems to get loud quite early. Mine on the other hand has a fairly linear volume increase as RPM's rise, and the higher pressure forces more exhaust gas to take the bypass as opposed to the full loop.

Silver car has 28mm, orange car has 22mm, the increase in size brings more of a gargle to it.

I've heard that a loss in back pressure causes a loss in power / torque... I don't suppose the butt dyno has said anything?

Feels the same to me. even if you lose 1kw, could you possibly feel it?

Besides, imo driving is all about how you connect with and feel about your car. If it makes you satisfied each time you take a corner, downshift, or rev the engine, its all that counts. I'd happily lose 1-2kws for this growl any day. Its sooo addictive.
