Default VIC - S2000 Track Day

I can remeber discussing the idea of a track day with a few people on the weekend on the Reefton Drive, and I think we should try to make it a reality.

I've never been to a track day in Australia, however they can't be too different from ones in Europe. I'd be intereted to hear from those in Vic that are regulars at tracks here as to what the possibility is of actually having a S2000 track day.

Thoughts, ideas, rants?

Some good options are AROCA Phillip Island days, and MGCCV Sandown days. Both are excellently run, friendly days.

You have to do Phillip Island once in your life, truly an amazing track and on another level compared to other tracks (in Vic at least).

If you want to have an S2000 only track day, that would be quite difficult. You need 50+ cars to make a track day viable and I don't see getting those numbers as possible.

I would be interested, but can we have some more info on costs and requirements (CAMS licenses, track fees etc)?

I'd be in... but getting so many S2ks for this would be impossible.

Yea I don't see it possible to get that many s2000's on track not here anyway

Not to mention booking/planning the day is ALOT of work, the best way I believe to do this is keep a lookout for a upcoming track day and book in I say 10 spots for S2ki and then we fill it in and have a group to ourselves that would be quickest cheapest and easiest way.

I would be up for this for sure. So long as we plan it out with enough notice to make sure I can get the day off work

In the past the WRX Club used to make S2000s quite welcome at their track days. However, I notice on their calendar for this year they are not going to Phillip Island - http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport.html
