Vortech S/C Group Buy

I've organised a group buy for this "boost kit"
here
We are slightly off target but here are the prices:

$3875 for the satin S2000 kit and
$4065 for the polished S2000 kit
*Payment must be in advance for all the kits at one time. (We're trying to arrange with Vortech that the payment can be sent directly to them in one lump sum from the group)
*Vortech will provide free local shipping for all kits

if any of you guys are interrested please post your place in the thread.

Damn I was like :eek1: way to tease dude!
tothemaxx was saying yesterday that there was a problem with the kit being used on RHD cars cos of the placement of the battery and stuff like that. Have you checked out that stuff?

honda9krpm 06-15-2003 12:41 AM

I am not aware of any problem with the kit being in RHD car.
Capa (www.capa.com.au) in South Australia sell these for RRP $11.6k. Call them if you have any question about installation in RHD car.

Other wise check this installation instruction

Last time I checked, Capa claimed that there is one in QLD with a vortech kit making 225rwkw.

You are looking at big saving even after shipped over here.
$3875 + ?$200 shipping + $970 tax and duty ( 15% import duty + 10% GST)

Around $USD 5050 (around $8k):eek3: :yikes:

There are problems with US (LHD) turbo kits because the turbo sits right where our steerin shaft is. I don't know of any problems with the SC's. Nothing you couldn't work around pretty easily.

How come no one here like to get boost?
If there are anyone who is interested, please let me know.
The price is the same, but more flexible payment options.

tothemaxx 06-24-2003 02:29 PM

It's not that no here like boost...it's just that other issues that are involved when S/C your S. These could be insurance and worries of F$%^king your driveshaft.

I am interested in track days with my car - therefore emphasis is on max handling and braking for best laps times. Also,IMHO the BUZZ is how many Gs you can get round turn 1 at Phillip Island, not how fast you can get there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:drive: :rev:

I called Just Car Insurrance and they gave me the same price as my current premium for a S/C :).
Most people run S/C with 4.44 final drive and had no problem.
There are some :drive: :rev: that break their diff and driveshaft with the boost kit but they also broke it when the car was OEM. So I think it's more due to driver's abuse.

I don't think it's that bad...I guess I will have to find out.
I cant wait for PssssssPsssssh :D
