what's that crap on all the cars today?

so i left my car outside last night coz the garage was full and this morning i come out to see it covered in industrial fallout.
what is that crap anyway?
i gotta find time to get it washed. what's the weather report like for the next few days?

AusS2000 10-28-2003 11:29 PM

Someone hasn't watched the news. That 'industrial fallout' is red dust blown in from western NSW.

What, you mean someone who owns a big 4WD didn't know red dust when he saw it?

2kturkey 10-29-2003 12:55 AM

Red, the term is FWD not 4WD. FWD stands for F... Wit Driver !

AusS2000 10-29-2003 01:38 AM

Iggy just bought a 4WD.

2kturkey 10-29-2003 02:08 AM

Don't worry I owned one too so I think I'm entitled to use the term :)

However, I bought mine because it was the cheapest convertible I could buy - a brand new 1 litre 4 speed Suzuki Sierra in 1985 for the bargain price of $5,990 + onroad.

Flat out it could achieve 105kmh (or 110kmh down a hill) and 0-100kmh took around a minute. Put it in low range though and it would go places a bigger FWD wouldn't dare consider.

It truly was great fun and yes, I did take it offroad quite a lot even though I originally bought it because it as a cheap convertible.

Mine also had removable everything - zip up plastic windows that could be removed, removable rollbar, lay flat windscreen, removable doors - you name it.

I finally traded it in 3 years later for a new Turbo Commodore and received $7,500 as a trade-in, the only new vehicle I have ever made a profit on.

sorry didn't watch the news.
is this gonna happen again?
i don't own a big 4wd anymore, but i have been known as a F...Wit driver b4.
i own a QUATTRO actually, please use the correct term.
