Default Who wants to come to DECA on 13/3/05?

BMW club is holding a DECA day (at Shepparton) on the 13th of March (Sunday). I'll be going to that one so I'm wondering who else is interested? This day will be billed as 'driver training' and the morning is devoted to some basic driver training excercises, and after that it gets to be a bit more freeform with time-trialed cone-dodging exercises.

The entry forms are not available just yet, but because these days fill pretty quickly, it's good to make up yourmind early if you wnat to come. These events accept only about 40 - 45 entrants and cost around $50. There are no real requirements for DECA events ie. no helmet, no extinguisher and no special licence is required. One just needs a road-registered car and that's about it.

So anyone interested? If there's any interest then I'll post the form (or link to it) here as soon as it available.

The entry form for the DECA day on the 13th of March has been released. It's a little bit more than expected (ie. $90), but you don't need anything else. There is only 30 places so don't take too long as the places will probably go pretty quick.

Get the entry form here (under 'DECA Driver training'):

$90 is a fair bit more expensive than usual, but it would be good to see Beemers on the day as opposed to usual pack of MX-5s. March 13 falls on a long weekend (Labour day Monday) so I might be heading off for a little holiday instead. Shepparton unfortunately is not on the shortlist, and understandably so.

Yeah, surprised me as well ... I'm sure I went with the BMW-club about 2 years ago and it was around $60 then. Not sure why the price increase, but nothing is cheap via the BMW-club as their track-days are more expensive as well. I think it might me because tehy accept less people for the day?

Yeah, when I went last time I saw a fair few M3s (new and older), M5, couple 911s and a couple Ferraries ... so, much more 'interesting' line-up than the MX5 event had.

Where to?

Just a driving holiday to somwhere in VIC. As to exactly where, that's for the missus to decide... Will probably involve sand and water or lush greenery and hills. Not likely to involve rubber and fumes if you get my drift...
