Default Why are the S02's so cheap now

I am about to buy a set of rears. I think i paid about $350 each last time. Bridgestone are now quoting $270 each. I asked them to make sure they were the correct ones esp. made for the S2000. Anyone know whats going on?

Hmmm I dunno, one of my friends told me they were going to stop making them. I hope not cause they are very good tyres.

Sounds like an exceptional price. Are they 'W' rated SO2s?

This sounds too good to be true! May be the public servants in Canbera are a little bit easier on tyres taxes
Taipan, how much is it for 255/35/18 and 225/40/18 in the SO2?

There was another account of this from Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps the S02 is now being manufactured in big enough quantities to allow a more reasonable price.

I think Bridgestone has reduced the price to make the tyre more competitive - we (TrackDay Motorsport)have a couple of sets available for about this price.
