Default yellow box install help!

To all you guys out there that have a yellow box installed, please help

basically my mechanic tried installing the yellow box to correct the speedo error from installing a FD. We followed the instructions provided when purchasing the yellow box and also steps provided by members on s2ki

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/228...difrys-yellow/

in that link is exactly how my mechanic installed it yet it doesn't work....we double checked all wiring and connections to make sure. we're not sure if its a bad earth or the power wire, but we checked the power wire and it seems all good. we also tried to earth it to different places as well and each time when we turn on the ignition the yellow box initially flashes maybe 2-3 times, followed by some very quick flashes and then it turns off (no more led flashes or light)...driving it the speedo doesnt change at all unless we put on the jumper plug to return it to its original. we also tried the various special tests and nothing happens, and i've also tried turning on the switches provided by the correction table to adjust the speed and still nothing happens.

if anyone has any ideas what could be wrong please help, also if anyone has pictures of how they alternatively wired up their yellow box please post

thanks in advance

I installed yellow jacket (or yellow box cant remember tbh but the one from mordify) in mine.

Check your mechanic hasn't intercepted the wrong wire. there is a white blue and a blue white.

White blue is for the charging system and controls the battery indicator light on the dash.

Blue white is for the speedo.

He he, yeah but we all need a laugh.

And to be honest, we've all been there too.
