EGR/Airpump delete kit
2 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, I'm Daan, and live in the Netherlands. I've put together these kits for a while now and have been selling these on the Dutch S2000 board, the s2ki UK board and ebay. I have sold a few kits to Australia and New Zealand, I thought lets start a topic here, and offer these kits to you guys.
The kit is for European, JDM and Australien/New Zealand s2000s only (USDM cars have a different system) and here’s a summary of what it does: Remove: - Remove airpump - Remove EGR - Remove airpump/EGR piping - Remove vacuum lines and metal bracket - Remove plastic vacuum tank on cross member Replace: - Replace valve cover breather pipe - Replace throttle body coolant pipe And install: - stainless steel EGR blank off plate - Airpump dummy resistor - Rubber cap for intake tube airpump connection - Rubber cap for vacuum nipple on intake manifold This is what’s included in the kit: (comes with a new model heat shield resistor) [attachment=88157:EGR.JPG] All this comes out, 4kg worth of pointless weight: [attachment=88158:pomp31.jpg] It’s a pretty straight forward job, I managed to get it all done in under 2 hours. You don't need to remove the front bumper to get to the airpump, just remove a few bolts from the inner fender undernead the front bumper and you can get there. Besides the airpump, all the rest is in sight of the engine bay! Price for the complete kit is € 60,- delivered. Price for the kit without the 2 hoses € 55,- delivered. Price for single airpump resistor € 30,- delivered. Price for single egr cover € 30,- delivered. If you want to order, please sent me your adres in a pm. Money can be transfered to my paypal: Deltalima1984(monkeytail)gmail.com Please use the option family or add 2 GBP (paypal fees), if you choose the option products Edit: Here is the UK topic: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/112...mp-delete-kit/ Edit: Here is a DIY on my S2000 webpage. http://deltalima-s2000.nl/handleidin...elete-english/ |
If your airpump died, makes noisse or give you a CEL (Check engine light)
And you dont wat to buy a new airpump (€1366,- /$1990,-) But you dont want to remove the entire system, You can use my airpump single resistor. It will fool the ECU, who think the aiprump is still in place and working. But if you want to remove all the useless pipes and save you 4kg of dead weight, you'll need the full egr/airpump delete kit. |
Highly recommended mod!
Although I do have one correction to make. It is not an Exhaust Gas Recirculation system you are removing. EGRs channel some exhaust gases back to the intake manifold and through the combustion chamber. What the S2000 uses is a pump to inject air (and hence oxygen) into the exhaust when cold to heat up the catalytic converter and get it going sooner. |
Thanks!

Haha yes you did. Great buyer! Thanks

One other advantage of removing the air pump is it greatly simplifies adding front brake coolant ducts on the Left side
|
Yes, removing al thise pipes and hoses gives you plenty of space.

Some guys are running aftermarket intakes, and allready installed aftermarket hoses from the valve cover and the trottle body,
so for those guys who dont need the 2 hoses in my kit, we offer the kit without them for € 55,- delivered. |
