As seen in the other tracks which were designed by Hermann Tilke, this one too will be having the signature lengthy straight which leads into a speed killer hair pin. The construction site was a flat piece of land which was not good to build a good F1 track. So Tilke created some manmade hills on the construction site so the race could have gravitational acceleration and deceleration.

I feel a street circuit should showcase the city and not just the marina. All I can say about the valencia track is OPPORTUNITY LOST.
the track is built on a small island not in a big city. the idea of having a small port for yachts in the middle of the track is amazing IMO. im definitley going there next year to watch the race since its near to where i live. iv been to the bahrain circuit last year, not for the GP but to test my S2000 there. it was so amazing and exciting, but i bet that abu dhabi circuit will be even more exciting.
the island will also include:
ferrari theme park, high end hotel, shopping mall, waterfront apartments, and a golf course!!!

valencia charged 60,000 euros to raise the bridge so the yachts could go in. yea... 60k euros!
valencia was nothing like monaco, except for being a street race and being by the bay. With all the money invested by the ME, it should be quite successful.
