What a drive by Kimi....22nd to 3rd!

Anyone who even thinks of counting Mclaren out even after setbacks like yesterday is truly fooling themselves!

Kimi drove well, also Nico Rosberg did quite good in his first GP (fastest lap of the race and came from the back of the pack on lap 1 to 7th pos).

It was obvious that Honda has the pace but not the drivers necessary to contend with the top. Very disappointed in the performance of both JB and RB.

I think RB screwed over JB at the start... once JB got around he pulled away from RB very quick, that possibly could have been the determining factor in JB getting 3rd not 4th, he spent a lot of wasted time behind RB before he finally go let around him. RB did have 3rd gear problems early on though.

Matrix and Triple-H response:

100% NR had an outstanding first career race.

Feel sorry for FM, the Ferrari pit stop robbed him of any potential for points.

We think the top 3 drivers where on the podium and we'll be seeing much more of them all year, with either BAR drivers injected there at times too.

Next weeks race is going to be interesting for everyone running 2nd race engines. Only JV should have a new engine....and maybe Fisi depending on how they rule hydrolics as being part of engine failure - we're thinking he's is going to be allowed a new engine without penalty, or what?

Did not see a huge advantage to STR's limited V10 "advantage". This race and if they can keep it up throughout the season, is going to show that Minardi was limited by Stoddard not by the FIA or other F1 teams. They finished ahead of the Toyotas in thier FIRST race! Stoddard selling the team is the best thing that could have happened to Minardi.

YAY - tire changes in the pitstops! (even though as a Ferrari fan it hurt FM).

2006 Toyota has to do something...if not, what a black eye. They are now spending more than Ferrari and have yet to win a single race. First race, did not look good for Toyota....

Super Aguri - why are they there? (we know for Sato) but Honda should be spending the $ on BAR to give them a better championship chance. They did make the pitstop more interesting though...

Bring on next week - qualifying was great in our opnion....

Don't feel too sorry for Massa. His team screwed up in the pits, but he wouldn't have gone into the pits if he hadn't spun out.

JB is just not in the top tier of drivers. The three guys on the podium today will fight it out over the course of the year. For Kimi, the big factor is reliability. If McLaren can give that to him, he'll take the championship.
