Default BS ie, Bruno Senna is 100% correct!

Bruno Senna says he wants to be on the formula one grid by 2009.

The 23-year-old nephew of the sport's late triple world champion - Ayrton Senna - told reporters at the Hockenheim circuit on Sunday that he will almost certainly race in the GP2 series next year.

Probably referring to Gerhard Berger, co-owner of the Toro Rosso team but also his uncle's former McLaren teammate, Senna said: "I already have some contacts in formula one.

"Depending on how I go (in GP2), I want to be in F1 within two years," Senna told 'Bild' newspaper, before crashing whilst guesting in the Porsche Carrera race at the DTM event.

And he said of Michael Schumacher: "If my uncle had not died, Schumacher would have won two titles less.

"Michael rarely had to drive right at the limit, but that would have been very different had Ayrton been there."

Actually, he may have won even less, because you'd have to wonder if MS would have been such a commodity without the 1st 2 titles......

Many times I saw MS rise to the occasion. I wouldn't say it was a foregone conclusion even if Ayrton hadn't died.

I'd love to see Bruno in the sport. He did pretty well in F3 this year. Of course, his ride was top-notch, but he wasn't exactly being handed victories.

First order of business though is to get the kid some experience. I was reading up on his career and he has not raced professionally much at all...making his success all the more impressive to me.

Ha! It was Senna who was running scared. He was scared that a young whipper-snapper like MS was nipping at his heels for F1 royalty. Kind of like the whole MS -->KR, FA thing.

I have no doubt MS would've made short shrift of Senna and would have been just as prolific a driver with Senna around.

I honestly don't get all this god like worship for Senna. Sure he was a superior driver but he got away with so much crap and still there was no hatred for him like MS.

I suspect there are very few people in this world who would agree with that, in fact I suspect there are probabley even a bunch of MS haters who would not agree.

I would love to see Bruno Senna in F1!!!

And who knows, as Frank has quite the tendency to take on new talent, maybe he'll start his F1 career in a Williams.

the question is, will he be one of the lucky ones who starts in a race seat or one of the guys like Anthony Davidson who has to prove himself as a tester first???

I want to see BS in F1 also, but Doug, do you really think a Senna would want to drive for the Team that was at least 60% responible for AS death?
