James Hinchcliffe has been knocked out and appears to be taking the high road even while the series is debating whether their rules should be changed to include the regulars. Rossi, my favorite is starting at the back and will need luck and strategy on his side. Congratulations to Ed Carpenter and Chevy for claiming pole

That was a dramatic last minute run by Carpenter, particularly that 230+ first lap.

Indy did not change the rules when the entire Penske team failed to qualify a numbers of years ago. Hinchclliff simply did not have the speed. That’s racing.

Hinch seemed to say much the same Dave.

It is Bobby Rahal and Robin Miller who suggest the series might have to rethink the rules

Don't forget, this is the last Indy 500 on AbC.

The punters seem to be favoring Rossi

That was a good race. Enjoyed it. Congratulations to Will Power and Team Penske. Was hoping Oriol Servia would have what it took to get to the end but Will Power got it done. Rossi drove a great race from where he started to finish where he did. If not for the last caution, perhaps he’d be sipping his milk of choice. Made some terrific moves throughout the race and I think it bodes well for his career.
