I have mixed feelings. We always have a good time at Sonoma. We meet up with s2k friends. It's wine country. But we've been to laguna Seca several times for IndyCar races in the past. The view from the top of the Corkscrew is great. Lots of good things to see and do on the Monterey peninsula. It's closer to home (LA area.)

It's official. No more Sonoma IndyCar after September. In 19 it's Laguna Seca.

3 year deal with the track to close the season.

I think Laguna Seca will make it more popular nationally and perhaps globally too for TV audiences. Perhaps that is what prompted their decision. More eyeballs on TV and more revenues for the series.
