I found this interesting. 2009 lap time comparison at Mid-Ohio (2009 pole position times)

- 1:06.661 Indy Car (Ryan Briscoe)

Interesting comparison but since they weren't all running on track at the same time in the same conditions the results aren't really a true representation of the gap between the series.

Tho looking at the grid I wonder what kind of times that Speed GT Mustang would run with a proper set of racing slicks.

It's funny how US open wheel has gone backwards...

Gil Deferran's 2001 pole time = 1:05.347

Either way, thanks for posting... it's awesome that the Atlantics is still faster than those POS Indy Light cars.

I would guess a NASCAR would lap around 1:21 - 1:22 range.

NO WAY is it on pace with GT2, add 10 secs to that.

Just a guess. Maybe more like 1:25
I based that on last weeks Watkins Glen (short course) times:
NASCAR pole lap time = 1:11
Grand Am DP pole lap time = 1:05
That's a 10% difference.
