OFFICIAL: JPM out at McLaren, replacement named
Montoya and McLaren-Mercedes F1 team part company, replacement named
WOKING, England (AP) - Juan Pablo Montoya is leaving McLaren-Mercedes immediately after deciding to switch to NASCAR next season.
The team announced today he will be replaced by test driver Pedro de la Rosa for the remainder of the Formula One season.
McLaren CEO and chairman Ron Dennis issued a statement saying, the decision to sever their relationship immediately had been by mutual agreement.
De la Rosa will race alongside Kimi Raikkonen at the French Grand Prix on Sunday.
The 35-year-old Spaniard raced for Jaguar in 2001 and 2002, and finished fifth at the Bahrain Grand Prix last year when Montoya was injured.
Montoya, who was sixth in this year's drivers' standings, had seven victories in 95 Formula One starts.

Actually doug, last time i read other thread it was just a going to nascar frenzy, I didnt realize balzz posted the gone now news til after you mentioned it.
