Speaking of Rules
 

This is another rule I hate and gives an advantage to teams that have them. Last year I think McLaren benefitted, this year I think Honda will...

Anything designed to specifically help one team is unfair imo....

Opinions?

I agree, the FIA originally thought it would benefit backmarkers but we all know, that is not the case..

All they have to do is to ammend it is to lower the cut off "previous year point standing" so really only the back markers will be out there on Fri afternoons..

I like the 3rd driver idea but i say allow the third car to run the race. Would make it more interesting with more cars.

:yikes: What!? You would have to allow for all teams to have 3 cars then or it would be really unfair for the constructors!

So true. Perhaps the bottom 50% teams should be able to use the third car and no one else. Otherwise give them all a third car it's better for the fans to see some action anyway even if it is not their driver of choice.

If one team is allowed to have a 3rd car then all teams should be allowed.

This is just another examle of the stupidity of The Max & Bernie Show.

I sort of like the proposal above to let the bottom x% of teams use them, as a way to level the field slightly. I suppose it lets you accomplish more with less talented drivers and engineers. If your guys are top-notch then maybe one car can get the testing-job done.

the problem for the smaller teams, exclude toyota, is the exspensive cost savings of running that 3rd car. its not cheap testing having to haul that stuff from track to track.
