There was a heat wave here in Ohio last week...it got up to a warm and balmy 40 degrees and no snow, so I pulled the car out of the garage for the first time in months. Side note, I think I need to change my Slave cylinder. there is no pedal feel until the floor and engages at the floor as well. I’m assuming it’s the Slave cylinder...anyone else experience this?

Still waiting on a few more things to come in for the car, once all of them come in I’ll do an update post.

It is finally starting to feel like spring in Ohio! I have parts that i am sitting on that i want to talk about, but frankly, i've had some bad experiences buying parts recently which has caused a set back in getting the car completed. Some of which were purchased through members of this forum, which was really disheartening...so i have to sort some things out first before i can post about them/put them on the car. Anyway, this post will be about maintenance and getting ready for driving season.

Every year i always change my oil before driving season, but this year i went a little further. This year i ended up doing:

-Oil Change (Pennzoil Platinum 10w30 w/oem honda oil filter)
-Brake/Clutch bleed (Motul rbf600)
-Cabin Air Filter (TYC direct replacement...pretty sure its never been replaced)
-Air filter (K&N)

*Insert shitty potato phone pics, I will be upping my DSLR skills soon thanks to @adrs2k *

Wrong sized, universal Spectre filter vs proper sized, s2000 specific K&N filter

And this kids, is why you always check/change your fluids...I found my clutch problem i was talking about in my last post lol This is what came out of the clutch reservoir when i was wiping it out The last time i changed my clutch fluid (rbf600) was 2 years ago, for reference. Now that i cleaned the reservoir and bled the system and filled it with new fluid, the clutch feels great again.

Next up on the docket is:

-Trans fluid (Amsoil synchromesh)
-Diff fluid (Amsoil severe gear 75w-110)

Hopefully by the time i do the next two maintenance items above, ill have some more interesting updates for you as i sort out my recent parts purchases. I hope all of you are getting your cars out and starting to enjoy them! I am envious, and eager to get this thing back on the road!

Goddamn....I need to get my ass to work. I have no excuses at this point....Weather good, parts ready to go....just....tired. Sucks when you sleep all day and work all night. Beautiful car, hopefully I can get my ass out to the garage and turn some wrenches before the snow starts flying again....
