A fresh slate. LBP build
Hey guys, I'm a new guy to the s2k world. I'm an IU Bloomington student and thought I'd document my newest car build.
So my last vehicle was a turbo'd/slammed Mini John Cooper works. It was fun, FWD, and was a little torquey toy. Here she is in her full glory right before I sold her:
nearly 280ft/lbs. torque @ 23 psi boost = fun
Then I got an offer on the MINI forums for a number way bigger than I paid for it. So I gave up the keys in return for a couple thousand dollar profit. Oh - and I kept alllll of my mods in the deal. I now needed a new car and decided to enter the N/A realm of JDM cars. I searched for an s2000 that hadn't been beat on by some dumb 17 year old kid. I found a 2007 that had very low miles @ 16k and the old owner changed the oil every 1000 miles:
I saw a picture of it online and saw it was in St. Louis. This pic showed it's incredible condition. I got ahold of the previous owner and asked him everything i could think about the car
It turned out that he babied it like crazy, but sold it because it hurt his back to get in/get out of. So i gave the dealer the offer on Tuesday, he accepted on Wednesday and Saturday we hoped in my sister's Chevy Cruze and drove to St. Louis:
...only to get pulled over at 8:30am on I70W. Sh*t
I also forgot about the time zone difference and we arrived at the rendevous too early:
^^me waiting at Jimmy John's dying.
It finally arrived
Took it for a test drive
...and bought it
^^random drive pics from my buddy
Then after a miserable 5 hour rainy drive home, she was safely put in the garage and i went to sleep.
Now to start the mods...

I Laguna Blue. How did you not get pulled over driving without tags?? In this state (MD) I wouldn't make it 3 miles and they would probably do something crazy like tow the car lol.
