Removed the bonnet latch and cable as space is tight enough inside the cockpit now. Got myself some Aerocatches for the bonnet.

So over in the UK its hard to get any decent aftermarket panels, bumpers etc. I was looking at £1000 to import some replica ASM front fenders after shipping, tax and fee's!! After searching and searching i managed to find some EPR RACING ASM replica fenders for £400 delivered. Great!! So i thought....

Yeah, so basically they are absolute sh!t. I got all my money back apart from the shipping. They are damaged. Most of the bolt hole brackets dont even line up - the passenger wing is held on by 2 bolts as the rest were so far out. Their is nowhere for the top corners of the headlights to bolt too. The edges around the headlights are rough. Its nowhere near close to the front bumper aligning up.

I have been quoted £450 to correct them as they are that bad and it will involve so much labour. Ive never fibreglassed before and ive heard its a right pain so i dont know whether to just bin them or give it ago myself. Seibon do a Carbon set for £700 but they are only 10+ mm not 20+ mm.

DECISIONS!!

UPDATE.

So i got the inside all sprayed in White. Kind of regretting it as it gets dirty so easy! After using UPOL Etch Primer i wish i spent a bit more and went for some decent paint as i cheaped out and got some shyte from fleabay! Oh well, its no show car but looks good enough!

Next job was to get the battery in and the car running. I went for an Odyssey PC925 with a fancy little cage. Then needed to sort all the loom out and get rid of everything im not going too need and tidy it all up.

Dash cut to fit around the cage and installed - check.
Custom seat mounts and seats installed - check.

Just little bits left to do inside now. Roll bar padding, some grip tape, rear view mirror that attatchs to the cage.

Swapped my clear indicator lenses for some ambers. Surprised how easy it was to split the headlights and swap them over, thought it was going to be a right pain.

Ive had some Spoon rep side skirts laying around at the top of my garage for over a year which i had forgotten about so put the car all back together and got the rivet nut gun out and fit the side skirts. This is how the car stands at the moment, i currently have no more parts to fit which makes me sad!

I am off on holiday for 2 weeks to the US (NYC, Miami & Orlando) next week so that has eaten up all my funds! But when i return the plan is to get it into the bodyshop to sort a few little bits out and those front fenders ready for wrapping.

As she stands...
