JDM_98r's dream car build
As many can see from my join date I've been a long time lurker and I purchased my first S2000 until October 2016. In 12 months I've owned 1 silverstone and 2 berlina blacks.
I've always wanted to own an S2000's since they were first introduced but the car was just not in my cards at the time. That didn't mean my desire to own one went away. It was just put on hold while I took care of other priorities and things lined up.

These were my Turbo AP1's around November 2016
The Silverstone AP1 was traded for a custom painted 350Z.
The 350z was traded for an BB AP1 w/ hardtop and F22c. The swapped AP1 was later sold so I focus solely on one car.
My initial build plans were pretty basic when I first started. ASM front bumper, Regamaster PM's, Mugen hardtop and turbo.
The Cusco rollbar I took out of the silverstone AP1. It was only in my car a short bit before I sold it and decided to have a full rollcage built.
1st budget built turbo kit with mostly ebay parts
Around December 2016 things got really interesting when I spoke to a good friend of mine back in Cali about my car. A little background about my friend. He's been building his EG civic since the early 2000's and continues to build the same car to this day. His most recent magazine spread was in Super Streets Continental Tire FF Battle.
Early 2000's and the first to debut this color.
2016 FF Challenge
After our conversation my mild build went into overdrive. When I first started installing my 2nd turbo kit in December I was expecting my car to be down for 2-4 weeks. I am now closing in on a year but now that the weather has cooled down I can work in my garage again and start working on my checklist of items to finish up.

Starting to install turbo kit #2
In preparation of the new build the Regamasters were sold and Volk ZE40 18x10+20 & 18x12+20 were chosen along with Toyo R888's.
With the rears mounted you can tell something special was going to be needed.
My next focus was the suspension and brakes to stop giant wheels. For the suspension I currently going with Tein SRC and for the brakes I originally opted to go with Stoptech ST-40 front bbk and rebuilt rear calipers w/ stoptech slotted rotors.
Word of caution. Power stop has part number #s2000 for rear brake calipers. Be sure to order the correct part unlike me.
Correct part arrived and installation was a breeze once I got the axle nut off. Made 3 trips to the auto parts store for 1/2 breaker bars before I make a trip to Northern Tool and picked up a 3/4" breaker.
I wasn't satisfied with how the stock sized rear rotors filled up the 18's and replaced them with Racing Brake rear BBK.

I had a Mugen top at the time but really wanted a Spoon top instead.
As luck would have it an authentic J's Racing carbon fiber bonnet came up for sale in the classified section that had been painted GPW. I wanted the hood to be painted with with vents exposing the carbon finish so I had to research ways to remove the paint while not destroying the gel coat. That lead me to Carbolift and I can't say enough about their customer support and their product. Here's a picture of me doing a test spot on the hood. The hood ended up having 1 layer of GPW, 2 layers of silverstone, and 1 layer of primer.
