Do you ever go to the ridge or is this a show car?

Lol its honestly a sits in my garage and gets driven every now and then kind of car. I haven't ever taken it to a show or the track in its current form. I did a track day at Pacific raceways a few years ago. I haven't been able to make a trip to the ridge. I'd still like to do a track day down there with it as that track is much nicer than Pacific. I have no interest in going back to pacific again. I may do some autox days as well maybe next summer. I really wish Nasa still ran up here as that is who I did the track day at Pacific with and they were far more organized than Turn2 (they were also much more reasonable price wise). I think there is another organization that is doing track days down there and I need to look into them more.

Group day at the Ridge then! Still haven't made it there from PDX yet but would love to. There's a few of us down here who I imagine could figure something out, even if it's just a TNiA.

Yeah there is usually a big group that goes down from Seattle at least once in the summer. I have been down a few times but never taken the S2000 just went to hang out and go on some ride alongs which is fun. I dislike that Turn2 keeps raising their prices and when I was talking with them about having an instructor they were trying to double the price of the track day on me when most organizations offer an instructor to new drivers as part of the fee (Nasa did this as does the other org that has done track days at the ridge). On top of that Turn2 does zero checks on the cars where Nasa at least had you do an inspection and bring a signed form. My biggest fear is taking the car out and having something happen. I spun it at Pacific and that gave me a pretty good scare. I got really lucky that I spun at the one part of the track not lined with concrete or rock walls.

Yeah Turn2 is silly expensive. The Alfa club is pretty good, along with HoD, TNiA is still the best deal though, unless the track day is a full track day and not 4 20 min sessions.
We should just rent the track and have an S2000 Expo

Got my armrest recovered and put back on. I went with Redline goods with the padding and had a local interior shop put it on. It came out really nice. Nice to have some actual cushion there over the OEM nothing. Ordered their tunnel cover as well so I can have the matching double stitching.

Got to go for a ride in ASM’s new street car. I’ll post more pics when I get back but this was so much fun.
