Son gave me a little tour around the car with all the new updates the last time I was at Trackspec. Looks amazing with the new J's front end and all the other updates! V-mount setup is the business.

Thanks! Son definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to S2k's and my custom v mount set up just goes to show it.

10/26/18: Decided to update this thread a bit considering some of the recent events.

So let's see what happened...

I sold my grey s2k in April. Reason for selling was because I thought I wanted something a bit more comfy and daily driveable but also be able to take to the track. So i ended up picking up an BMW M2.

Quickly modded it to be a double duty car (street and track).

Took it to the track a a couple of times and realized that I didn't like it at all. It was pretty surprising given all the raving reviews the car has. So why didn't i like the car?
- heavy as hell - weighs almost 3600 lbs
- brakes suck - even with aftermarket RS29 pads, i was experiencing immense brake fade
- seats suck - i was bracing myself so hard in every corner that I had bruising on both my knees
- power - due to the weight. I think the car was a bit down on power. It's by no means slow but I definitely expected more.

Ended up selling the car 2-3 months into ownership.

10/26/18: Part two

So i was back on the market again. At this point, I had a couple of options:

- turn my NSX into a dual purpose car - track and street
- trade in my nsx for a gt3rs and dual that
- get a civic type R for track duty
- get a gtr for track duty

After a lot of back and forth, I actually ended up buying another S. My reasoning was that I really enjoyed it before so it's kind of like why not? All the other options on that list were a shot in the dark (that or I've tried them already). So with that said, I found another S2k.

Got lucky and found a amuse widebody s2k on this here forum. It was the only car I was considering given that I really wanted to top my last build. Needless to say, we have a lot of work for us to do to make it a proper race car.

10/26/18: Part three

So right after I got the car delivered. The battery was weak so I just drove it straight to Trackspec to let them get their hands on it.

A lot of the mods planned for this car actually follow my last build with some slight improvements. Namely the supercharger. Since last year, SOS has come out with a V mount kit that allows you to retain AC. HKS also came out with their newer GT2 Supercharger so there's that. All of the other mods have been following my previous build due to the fact that we now know what works and what doesn't.
