Performance wise there is no benefit in running with out without the hub ring. NVH will most likely be improved or lessened with the use of the rings, which may lead to increase driver confidence. I can tell you from first hand experience that endurance race cars do not use the rings or any type of centering device other than the lugs. Wheel/hub clearances that tight would slow down pit stops.

Rays gauge looks nifty though a bit over priced

But real race cars use center lock hubs and wheels made to fit those hubs perfectly.

My second session of the day I ended up getting sort of stuck behind some BMW Spec E30 race cars but had a blast chasing them down and making some passes. Also was able to find a video from another S2000 driver who got some great footage from behind. The pace was down quite a bit but definitely some fun driving!
Cool footage. I liked watching that. I know the E30s are definitely slower, but I'm surprised that they kept enough of a pace to make passing difficult. Were they on R888s?

Nice driving BTW

Thanks. Not sure exactly what tire they were on but they definitely had a decent amount of grip. The Spec E30 regulations require Toyo RR or RA-1 in 205 sizes so I would guess they were using that or something similar for practice.

I was referring to the former Grand Am ST/GS class of racing.
