OEM+ NFR AP2 Build - TX

Hey- who are you getting to tune your setup? You are running flash pro right?
Still working on this, I’m really dragging it out because I’m pretty much replacing and upgrading everything on the damn kit.
The job is only taking awhile because of the PFAB manifold, Pang really sucks and his products suck. His manifold shifts everything down so I had to modify everything because of stuff touching. I’m convinced too his cold welding will crack very soon so I’ve been talking to a local guy about building a replacement when this one cracks. Maybe I’ll be surprised? Anyway, should be done soon, just picked up a new Tow vehicle so I can pull her to San Antonio for the tune!

Planning on H-car in San Antonio. Mostly because he tunes K-tuner. I’m planning to use K-tuner because I don’t want a wideband or boost gauge in the car. This way I can just run the K-tuner touch display with spirited driving to see AFR and boost, unplug it for cruising so I don’t have all those gauges everywhere.

Decided to stop being lazy and do my valve adjustment, I’m glad I did. Car ran excellent but all exhaust valves were tight, one was .005! All but 2 intake valves were at .011
Adjusted exhaust to .012 per Billmans recommendations and set intake side to .010
car is running great, don’t really notice any extra valve chatter at .012 so that’s a good thing

Got the valve cover done in Wrinkle black, super humid out so I had to bust out the BBQ pit to keep it from turning gray. Coil cover is PPG base and clear over a high heat primer.
Got my SOS fuel pump re-wire done. Kit was nice but I despise butt connectors and crimp on ring terminals. I ditched all that and soldered everything. Installed a walbro 255, should push plenty of E85 for my 325-350 goal.

Finished my catch can install, I was torn about where to put it as the full can assembly is very large. I’m very happy with the fit and finish of it. Just gotta hook up my vacuum lines and order my engine management in the morning. Still undecided about K-tuner vs Flash pro. I read stories of people having trouble clearing codes, not sure if they’re in the “race” non-carb version.

Alright, got my plugs installed, .024” gap.
SOS 4 bar installed
ID1050x injectors repinned and installed
Got my wideband Installed but the leads are still unhooked. Apparently it takes 2 weeks to get terminals? Using Mouser pins for the ECU and double barrel spades and rings for the power and ground. I wish you could get proper wiring parts in your local auto parts store :/
Once those arrive and I plug it all in I can load my base map and knock the dust off. I give it 1,000 miles before the manifold cracks lol, then I’ll be updating the hotside for more power!

Got the car started up and driving. Did some baseline pulls with a tuner but decided E-tuning isn’t right for me. Decided to eat the cost of the E-tune and go see Huy at inline racing in Houston. Tune is Wednesday, if everything goes well I’ll start getting the car cleaned up to enjoy for awhile.

Had my tuning session with Inline racing, car performed well, no break downs lol. Car made a safe 300, driveability is great, gonna be a fun street car. I’m going to move forward dumping the wastegate and adding meth to push it closer to 330 range soon. People bash the Greddy kit but I’m very pleased with the feel, hits hard early which is good for street driving. More to come.
