Thank you! That is my ef, I've owned it for 10 years now. It was my first car all throughout highschool and some college then I retired it to the garage.

Did some work on the car over the weekend. I noticed that both right side diff mounts were cracked a few weeks ago and wanted to do an upgrade since I had to change them anyways. Since the car is a daily driver I didn't want anything that would cause be noisy or cause harsh vibrations. I had to rule out any polyurethane upgrades like innovative or hasport mounts, and came across diff collars over oem mounts. After doing a lot of research they seemed to be the best of both worlds. Stiffer than oem but very little vibration and driveline noise while driving.

Found a set of diff collars on ebay for $75 shipped and also found some very low mile used oem mounts on the forums for $100.

Even if you can't see them installed, I did not want them to be red and not match anything on the car. So I grabbed a can of oven cleaner and sprayed them a few times to take off the anodizing.

After putting in some elbow grease I got them looking better

Jacked up the car and went to work

Everything installed and torqued to spec!

I read a lot of reviews about the collars and honestly expected to notice a big difference, but after reading them again I realized that a lot of the people had completely blown out mounts all around. They tended to notice a night and day difference after changing the mounts and installing collars. I noticed faster throttle response and less driveline slop for sure, but far from a night and day difference. Either way it was exactly what I was looking for. It feels great on the freeway and has little to no driveline noise/vibration at speed. Next on my list is to change the water pump and do a coolant flush.

Took advantage of the extra days off to do an oil change and detail on the s. It's a lot of work but it keeps the car looking its best at all times.

Stopped by the cars and coffee aliso viejo meet the other week with my buddy in his nsx. Finally got to park next to a stock suzuka blue s2k to see the difference!

De-badged, no antenna, pulled quarters, widened fenders, more blue and less pearl added to the paint when it was mixed

Finally got a new upgrade for the car! Settled on a k&n FIPK, looked into the new takeda system but it was a lot more money, and so far there is little info from people installing them. I may get it in the future because I do like the way it looks, but this will do for now.

The old setup actually wasn't that bad, it just lacked the sound that a good intake system provides.

New setup installed, had to work it a little to fit with the strut bar.

Overall I was happy with the intake, it sounds amazing and I definitely feel the increased throttle response, but I can't say I felt the hp gain. It was pretty much exactly what I expected and that's not a bad thing.
