mfers claiming "the scene" has gone to shit are just upset because they were never really a part of it in the first place. Shit is flushing down the toilet and I am waving bye bye.

Thanks man! Seems like great minds think alike.
This. Everyone that is leaving their S2000 because of "the scene" or because they think it's not a "grown up" car is a ****ing moron. I'm sorry, but it's true. If you bought this car to do anything other than enjoy driving it, then you bought the wrong car.

Alright, update time.
So the car drives great and I've been using it to commute to work at 100 miles a day once or twice a week. Thus far, it's given me no problems or headaches. In preparation for my first track day since the rebuild, I decided to comprehensively upgrade the existing driver safety equipment, moving back to a 4-point roll bar, 6-point harnesses, and a racing steering wheel. I went with the same Hard Dog double-diagonal bar, this time painted Sebring Silver to match the car.

I decided on a set of Schroth Profi 2 6-point harnesses for the car. I went with the HANS compliant model as well. I've used Schroth products in the past, and have not come across higher-quality harnesses to date.
For the steering wheel, I decided to mimic the setup my good friend //steve\\ was running. I spec'd a Momo Mod 78 350mm wheel in leather, to go with a Works Bell standard hub and ASR 2" spacer. This only made sense as I had bought his old roll bar as well.....

For added flair, and to satisfy my anal retentiveness, I added an OEM Honda NSX Type-S horn button to the wheel. This was the single most expensive part of the entire setup, something I don't mind as its extremely noticeable and an upgrade on the Momo button. It also matches the exact color of the Honda logo on the AP1 airbag.

I also addressed a huge pet peeve of mine: the carpets. My car has the original carpets, with new-ish OEM floor mats. As you can imagine, they've started to look pretty ragged over the last 155,xxx miles, and it's really started to bug me. I broke down and ordered a set of OEM Honda Access extended mats from Hendy Performance, and they arrived on my doorstep 3 days later. These mats may be one of my all-time favorite things I've done to my car, as the interior now looks WAY nicer without that unsightly hole in the carpet right in front of the drivers seat. These mats also seem more robust than the original ones, which is nice.
