So, I think I left off before my first track day in the "new" car.
I took the car to Sebring in July for it's first real shakedown. Chin Motorsports was hosting an open test day for advanced drivers only, something that's increasingly rare in florida. This amounted to 8 hours of completely open track. It was the perfect opportunity to go out, drive, come in, make adjustments, and repeat until the setup was refined.
My initial impressions are as follows:
Car is ****ing QUICK. So quick that the exhaust fell off going around the hairpin as one of the exhaust hangers broke from the cornering forces. Sebring is a killer of cars, so when the only thing that happens to a newly rebuilt car is a failed exhaust hanger, it's a GOOD day.
Here are some photos from that:

This past weekend, I took the car to Homestead Speedway for it's second shakedown. I wanted to kill these tires and get some more seat time in the car. Unfortunately, on my way to the track, the alternator died and I "ran out of electricity." I installed an autozone alternator temporarily, as it was all that was available on short notice. I unhooked the rear sway bar as it was causing the car to exhibit a tendency to oversteer at the limit, and during high speed transitions. The car didn't take a set when making high speed turns, which was fun, but not fast. Unhooking the bar solved the issue. The car ran like a champ and performed flawlessly all day. Here is some video of me driving the car on (and off) the track:

Yeah man! I'm really excited about the way it's driving right now. The only way to really convey just how much fun it is might just be through video. The header turned the sound from aggressive to outright insane. I am completely in love with it.

****in right.
Lol
Haha the alternator thing was such a pain, but I'm glad I got it taken care of before the track day. I actually installed an Odyssey PC680 lightweight battery the week before, so I'm happy that this issue didn't get a chance to kill it.
