got home early from work yesterday. so i decided to install the steering wheel setup.

personal Grinta 330mm
SPoon Hub
Circuit sports quick release ( this thing is a pile of shit, i had it from my old corolla. it works ok except it wouldnt let me get the horn to work. the connections contacts suck and it just doesnt want to work. I gotta upgrade later on, but i will use this for now. )

in my old CR - i had pretty much the same setup - standard size hub and normal quick release. - I like the steering wheel closer to me as i feel more confident in steering response just because my arms are more bent and not as extended with the stock wheel.

i am pretty happy with it:

i spent my morning installing my brakes.

bought some Spoon calipers from RHD japan few months ago - the yen was shit so got some calipers for 1100 shipped.

amazon had a decent deal on brake lines so i got them as well.

hit up some friends at Mackin and got my PMU pads

started with the front since i knew it would prob be the messy.

i used tin snips to cut the brake sheild corner peices to fit the caliper properly. was happy the install went pretty smooth.

cant really see doh!

i didnt get a chance to bleed my brakes yet. will prob get to that tonite.

some goodies came in
few more small little accessories that I got from RHD japan. I probably will have to wait for my next service to install all the small drain plugs. Will also have to schedule a time to bring the car to Ballade to install the collars.

my annual ae86 gathering track day is comming up in july. I am going to start prepping that car to battle against 30 other corolla guys. Every year, i look forward to this event as it so rare that so many 86's gather and hit the track at once. it is US's own N1/N2 style 86 gathering but on the ghetto side. haha.

will update more soon!

wow, super sorry havent updated this in long ass time.

The petrolicious video was a Toyota Gig. They contacted me to help put this video together to showcase the new FRS / 86 at the time. So that car in the video was owned by Toyota. Only car that was mine is the Corolla =D

I def didnt trade my s2000 for one. I still have it but havent done much to it except drive. i need to put together a bunch of photos and updates on whats going on. stay tuned..

Yeah more updates on both the AP2 and the AE86 would be great. My favorite thread bc AE86 content tbh.
