Someone asked me about my cruise control setup. Since I have a removable wheel, I could not retain the stock buttons unless I relocated them. Space is at a premium for a 6'0 person in a huge halo seat in the S2000. I follow the how to from the forum and wired up these two buttons for my cruise and they don't take up any space. Works perfectly!

Sorry, a bit dirty in this picture.

Great thread and amazing list of cars you have owned over the years! I myself tend to hold onto my cars for years, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't always looking at what else is out there, and day dreaming about owning one of my teenage dream cars. Its threads like this though that make me second guess ever getting rid of my S, because so many people seem to come back to them. This comment really resonated with me, because these are all cars I grew up wanting and I still catch myself thinking about an NSX.

Sadly, all these cars have been pretty disappointing. They where my dream cars growing up and as I get the opportunity to buy them, they just never live up to what I imagined. It's largely because they are dated at this point and while they have the raw manual feel, they just don't have the refinement and chassis dynamics of something newer like an S2000 or Cayman. The S2000 really spoils you on what you expect cars to feel like. They say you should never meet you hero and that kind of holds true to old cars I lusted after.
I have also started to dabble in track days with my car, but like yourself I enjoy having the comfort features of A/C and a radio and being able to drive to and from or take it on a longer drive from time to time. So it's nice to see someone find that balance!

I thought it would be fun to share why people refer to Hoosiers as cheater tires.

Here are a set 255/40/17 Maxxis RC1s vs 225/40/17 Hoosier R7s unmounted. The R7 are about 5lbs less per tire and the same width.

I run both tires on 17x10 949 Racing 6ULs.

I won all of these and a few more during NASA TT's this year : )

NSX finally is back home! Was able to put 100 miles to break in the motor just today!

Wow, awesome thread. So many cars, lol.

Does the NSX live up to your expectations or is it a bit of a let down like the Supra?

It's a great car. In my opinion it is not as good as people make it seem in online reviews. I think from a driving stand point, the Cayman is a much better car! I'd venture to say the Cayman is probably the best drivers car out there.

The season is over and its time to start inspecting and upgrading. TT5 rules come out next week so I'm not changing anything drastic until then. I was able to conjure up $650 in AST contingency this season so I put it towards a suspension rebuild. This will only cost me $150 out of pocket! Thanks AST!

The suspension was getting tired since it was 5 years old. I am replacing the springs and having it revalved and rebuilt. I am also changing my wheel bearings and hubs and upgrading to extended studs.

Would you ever consider taking the black tape off the windshield frame? I think exposing the red paint would flow well with the red hardtop.

Maybe, I would need to see some pictures first!
