I found out that ADRS2K was going to be attending the spring s2ki Dragon meet and being only 3 hours away in Atlanta I decided I had to get out there for at least a couple of days. I've been chatting with him for enough years that I can't count and never met in person so I wasn't going to pass the chance to meet. I had an absolutely blast out on the Dragon and the surrounding area. I took off Thursday and Friday from work and headed up Wednesday night. We had a good two days driving around the rounds mostly wide open. I had been a few years ago and we never got around with this little traffic. I would recommend anyone that thinks about visiting to go during the week days and get your Dragon runs done in the morning or late at night.

We also ran into Bama Dave and a friend of his who we made a bunch of other runs with. Good to see old faces and meet some other new ones. I met a few others (Fury with ABP CR being one of them) but don't remember everyones name.

I've been really happy with how the car felt. Alignment worked great. I love these Maxxis VR1 tires, better than both the Z2s and RS3s I've run in the past. I'm still mixed feeling about the 4.56 gears. In some spots they were absolutely awesome and the mountains is where the short gearing really shines but in a few places 2nd was just too short and 3rd too long. OEM 2nd gear would have been perfect. I still have the original diff in the garage so it may go back in it may not.

The one thing I'm convinced the car really needs is a lighter flywheel so it will likely be the next thing that gets done. I'm still debating between OEM AP1 (14lbs), ACT Streetlite (11lbs), or ACT Prolite (8lbs). I think right now I'm leaning most towards the ACT Streetlite.

Here are a bunch of the photos taken by ADRS2K

it's possible to swap airbag covers, I have an 06+ cover on my 04-05 airbag, so that might be how?

Previous owner had one of the red H badges on it and I didn't like it at all. Unfortunately in doing so he pulled out the H that's already there and you can't just buy that. This was the next best way to make it look factory again. So it's the original 09 airbag just a different badge on it.

I'm wondering if there isn't some older model Honda that used a small emblem on the exterior that could possible work as a replacement to make it 100% OEM looking again. Haven't found it yet. Either that or I'll get a red badge and try to swap airbags with someone that really wants it so I can have an untouched 06+ airbag.

Steve, go with the 8lb flywheel. I have the 8lb ACT flywheel in my car, and with my shorter gearing, AP2 trans, and F22C with a tune the car is absolutely manic. If you get the car tuned and go to the 8lb flywheel, 100% you won't think 3rd gear is long anymore.

When I watch your track videos I am convinced. Take some video of normal street driving for us too. I go back and forth on the 8lb vs 11lb as well.

I'll try and do this tonight, actually. It required literally 2 minutes of adjustment, and then you can't tell. I can still start in 2nd gear from a stop. I see no downside to this.
