If you want to free up the car and gain some power, i would recommend installing a test pipe. It will ease drone, and free up air flow.
Sucks that someone messed with your car, that is cheap.

Yes, thank you so much for the opinion! I would really love to get a test pipe but I just don't want an engine light code or anything like that by removing the cat... Any suggestions?

If you don't want the engine light then go with hfc
I personally have berk 63.5mm test pipe on MY06
But I don't get engine light from the test pipe setting. Because flashpro had check-mark area that you don't get engine light from o2 sensor. ( I'm not 100% sure but there were avoid engine light option)
So I think AEM might have same option too.
Or you can simply buy the hfc and get peace of mind
I have hfc for my daily. Never throw code from cat about 3 years.
Also I think gain is pretty much same or 1-2whp different between hfc and test pipe for NA.
For the price hfc is more expensive though.
I've got test pipe only for good sound with my hks exhaust.

I personally use a Berk 70mm HFC. but a test pipe is what you want for max performance. They can smell though.

A TP is cheap, and they do have ones that come with a CEL fix already on them.

Thank you so much for the great advice... a friend of mine has a JDM AP1 and actually gained 11whp from installing a test pipe! I was impressed. I don't know if I would actually get those kinds of gains, but I'm TOTALLY buying one as it has me excited after I saw results on my friends car!

Appreciate everyone's input.
